Transparent starting prices on every line of work we do. No hidden labour rates, no surprise add-ons. The diagnostic credits toward the repair.

Get a quoteWhy Carbon
Carbon started in 2011 as a one-bay independent shop. 14 years on, we are still independent. Five lifts, six certified technicians, and no manager telling us to upsell a customer who came in for an oil change.
We work on what most chains will not touch. European, Japanese, American performance. Anything 10+ years old. Anything with a check-engine light the dealer wants to fix by replacing the entire module.
We charge $145 an hour for labour. The chain down the road charges $80. The difference is the technician doing the work and the time they take to do it right. If that math does not make sense for your car, we will tell you that, too.
Signature Work
A small selection of recent jobs. Restorations, performance builds, problem-solves the dealer turned away.
Timing belt, water pump, oil cooler seals, full suspension refresh on a high-mileage four-cylinder coupe. Owner had been quoted by three other shops who all wanted to walk away from the engine.
Hours: 38 · Parts: $2,840 · Labour: $4,180
Downpipe, intake, JB4 with backend flash, full bolt-on assessment. We took the car off the dyno at 412hp on 93 octane and a tune the owner can drive every day.
Hours: 14 · Parts: $4,200 · Labour: $1,540
Brembo pad-and-rotor upgrade, full coilover install, four-wheel alignment with custom street spec. 240k km daily driver, owner wanted it to feel new again.
Hours: 9 · Parts: $1,890 · Labour: $990
Process
Every shop says they are different. Here is exactly what we do, in the order we do it. No surprises, no verbal estimates, no calls that start with bad news.
You drop the car off. We scan, inspect, and document everything we find. You get a written report with photos, fault codes, and itemized line items, not a verbal estimate.
We call you with the findings before we touch a wrench. Every option laid out: do-now, monitor, defer. You decide what gets done. The diagnostic fee credits toward the work.
OEM-spec parts unless you ask otherwise. Photos at every major stage. If something changes mid-job (and on a 14-year-old engine, sometimes it does), we call before we proceed.
Twelve-month warranty on labour, manufacturer warranty on parts. We text you at 30 days to confirm the repair held. Anything wrong, you bring it back. No fight, no second diagnosis.

Most of our work comes through word of mouth. The reviews tell you why.
I had been quoted $3,200 by the dealer for what they said was a transmission issue. Carbon diagnosed a wiring harness fault in 90 minutes and fixed it for $480. They could have run with the dealer quote. They did not.

First shop I have brought my car to where I did not feel like I was being talked down to or upsold. They walked me through every line item before any work happened. Will not go anywhere else.

The Miata is a project car and most shops do not want to touch it. Carbon treated it like it mattered, and the work was clean. Found rust I did not know about and gave me real options instead of writing the car off.
