Brake Service
Pads, rotors, calipers, lines. We use OEM-spec or better and we machine rotors only when machining is the right call. Most of the time, replacement is cheaper long-term.

Timing chains, gaskets, valve trains, full rebuilds. We do the work most chains will not touch, and we do it on cars they will not work on.

Why Carbon
The chain shops can not do what we do. The dealer will not do it for what we charge.
Carbon started in 2011 as a one-bay independent shop. 14 years on, we are still independent. Five lifts, six certified technicians, and no manager telling us to upsell a customer who came in for an oil change.
We work on what most chains will not touch. European, Japanese, American performance. Anything 10+ years old. Anything with a check-engine light the dealer wants to fix by replacing the entire module.
We charge $145 an hour for labour. The chain down the road charges $80. The difference is the technician doing the work and the time they take to do it right. If that math does not make sense for your car, we will tell you that, too.

Timing belt, water pump, oil cooler seals, full suspension refresh on a high-mileage four-cylinder coupe. Owner had been quoted by three other shops who all wanted to walk away from the engine.

Every shop says they are different. Here is exactly what we do, in the order we do it. No surprises, no verbal estimates, no calls that start with bad news.

- STEP 01
Diagnostic
You drop the car off. We scan, inspect, and document everything we find. You get a written report with photos, fault codes, and itemized line items, not a verbal estimate.
- STEP 02
Quote
We call you with the findings before we touch a wrench. Every option laid out: do-now, monitor, defer. You decide what gets done. The diagnostic fee credits toward the work.
- STEP 03
Work
OEM-spec parts unless you ask otherwise. Photos at every major stage. If something changes mid-job (and on a 14-year-old engine, sometimes it does), we call before we proceed.
- STEP 04
Follow-up
Twelve-month warranty on labour, manufacturer warranty on parts. We text you at 30 days to confirm the repair held. Anything wrong, you bring it back. No fight, no second diagnosis.
